timpenley18On Saturday 9 June, Mr Harris and four students went to the Bucks Schools Track and Field Championships at Stantonbury Campus.

Tim Penley (Year 9) was the star performer of the day as he won the Junior Boys Pole Vault, clearing a height of 3.10m. He achieved the National Schools qualifying standard which makes him eligible to be selected by the Buckinghamshire team for the National Schools Championships. In addition, he is now ranked 12th in the country for his age. Tim also competed in the Javelin and finished in second place.

Not to be out done, Sam Featherstone (Year 11) won the Intermediate Boys High Jump with ease. Sam also jumped the National Schools qualifying standard and has already been pre-selected for the Buckinghamshire team. He is ranked in the top 10 for his age.

George Ho (Year 9)and Matthew Field (Year 10) both competed in the 100m, achieving 3rd and 8th place respectively. George also made the final in the 200m and finished in 5th place.

We are proud of all the students that took part and represented the school.


photocomp2018We are pleased to announce the details for the 2018 photography competition.  The competition has two categories – Portraits and Reflections.  On this page you will find a brief outline of the types of photography that could be included, these categories are open to your interpretation and we look forward to viewing a diverse range of images. 

Photographs that portray people, expressing the personality and identity of the subject – this could include portraits of friends & family members, self-portraits, portraits of people in their surroundings, the images could be formal, posed or informal and candid.

Photographs of reflections of any object, person, animal or location framed in an interesting way. Reflections can be recorded through water, mirrors or any shiny and reflective surface - be as creative as possible with your composition to pick out shapes, colours and textures.

Age Groups

Under 13’s / Under 16’s / 16 +

Closing date 9 July 2018
• Entries can be black & white or colour.
• A maximum of 2 photographs can be entered in each category



On Wednesday 9th May, Year 10 Business & Economics students attended Warwick University as part of their Business pathway programme. Students received a talk from various Deutsche Bank Economists covering topics such as the origins of money and the day in a life of an investment banker.

Students then got to take part in a group project to create and design a new local amenity that would aid the local community and develop skills for life. Walton High students won this task and got to present their ideas in front of all other schools!

The day ended with various talks from current Business undergraduate students and a Campus tour of Warwick University providing information on the facilities
