Oom-pah-pah, oom-pah-pah, THAT’S HOW IT GOES!...

image001It certainly does - and what a week!   We are so proud of our fantastic cast and crew who performed to sell out audiences in the classic family production of ‘Oliver!’

Huge congratulations to everyone involved – it really was great to see so many students of so many ages taking part showcasing their talent, enthusiasm and enjoyment of being on stage.

Thank you to everyone who supported the show – we have loved receiving your messages and we are really glad you enjoyed it and are looking forward to seeing you back at The Venue again soon.

Take a peek at this fascinating video created by our lighting operator, Jacob Grace – capturing the show from behind the scenes…

‘REVIEWing the situation…’

image003“The staging was excellent as was the performance.  It was also great to see so many children involved and obviously enjoying themselves.  The 'stars' were, of course, splendid but all the cast did so well and the event could not have been so successful without the support of all those behind the scenes.”

“What an incredibly talented bunch of students you have! The sound they made as a company was astounding and your principals were confident and displayed really detailed characterisation.”

“Congratulations and well done to you all. I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's performance and can't tell you how proud I am of each and every one of you, staff and students alike. Your hard work, dedication and performances are an inspiration to us all”

image005“The performances were superb throughout the cast, back stage was flawless as ever and the music was just brilliant.”

“The show was fantastic and I was suitably impressed at how the older students supported and encouraged the younger ones”

“What an amazing show! Thank you the staff and the students for putting on this wonderful show. It was brilliant and you should all be proud of yourselves!”

And even our primary school audiences had their feedback:

image007“The best bit was the songs because the singers were really good”

“They had learnt their lines really well and their costumes were good”

“I liked the story because Oliver got a family at the end and did not have to be alone again”

“It was really good when the actors came off the stage as I felt more involved”

Thank you to everyone for your wonderful comments and reviews
