Junior Play for Keeps is a keyboard course for children aged between 5 - 8 years. It establishes a good playing ability and the lessons include a wide variety of activities - singing, keyboard games, musical appreciation and rhythm work. Junior Play for Keeps is a structured course, each textbook follows a theme and the course can lead to Yamaha accredited exams. Students will progress from this course into Play for Keeps groups.
Piano Course for Children is for beginners aged 7 years and is for pupils wanting to have piano lessons in a group. As the name indicates this is a piano-based course which develops piano skills at the first lesson. The hour long lesson includes repertoire, rhythm work, notation, singing, keyboard exercises and scales.
Play for Keeps is a keyboard course for 9 years and upwards and is an exciting popular music-based course designed for the beginner to progress in easy stages so that a lesson can be both a learning experience and fun.
Play for Keeps lessons are "LIVE" group lessons - no headphones! The course material for Play for Keeps supports music at Key Stage 2 and 3 and GCSE and "A" level and includes lots of music suitable for all tastes in music arranged in modern styles. Play for Keeps course material is fully accredited with Trinity College of Music Examination Syllabus.
