Open Morning Walnut Tree

On Saturday, Walton High’s Walnut Street campus opened its doors to prospective parents and students.

Staff worked tirelessly to show off all that the school has to offer to students, families, and the local community.

Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with parents stating how impressed they were with the site, facilities, and the breadth of the curriculum.

Parents who visited the Learning Link were in awe of the support and facilities available to our SEN and vulnerable students. The dedicated space provided for students and the high level of skill of our SEN team, prompted one parent to say, “this is the best SEN provision we have seen”. Another parent noted that they felt much more reassured about the transition to secondary school.

The tour stop at the Cafe proved to be extremely popular with parents and students.  Many fed back that they were impressed by the delicious catering and range of healthy options available.

Our student volunteers were highly commended for being professional, confident and highly articulate. We are so proud of how well they demonstrated the strong sense of belonging, dedication to learning and high level of achievement that exists at Walton High.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff and students who made the event so special.

Over the course of the year, we will be working closely with local primary schools and parents to welcome students into our community. We look forward to supporting them during this important step in their school journey.
