Year 7 2026 applications
Welcome to Walton High!
Thank you so much for choosing Walton High. We’re delighted that your child has been offered a place, and we can’t wait to work with you and support your child throughout their journey with us. Our aim is to make sure every student receives an excellent education and enjoys the wide range of opportunities available here.
Campus Allocation
As you may know, Walton High operates across two campuses. Applications are made to the school, so the Local Authority doesn’t offer an option to select a specific campus during the admissions process. This means that the school is responsible for allocating students to each campus.
Just a quick reminder: the offer letter from the Local Authority won’t include your child’s campus placement. We’ll confirm campus allocations by 20th March, and you’ll receive this information by email.
Future Structural Changes
We would also like to make families aware that Walton High’s current two‑campus model will be transitioning into two separate schools from September 2026. This change is intended to support the continued growth of our community and ensure that each site can operate with greater independence and flexibility. We understand that parents may have questions about how this change could affect their child. If you have any concerns about the upcoming split—or how it may relate to your child’s allocated campus—our Admissions Team is here to help. Please reach us at either Walnut Tree wt-admissions@wh5d.com or for Brookland bl-admissions@wh5d.com.
Looking Ahead to September
We’ve already started planning for our new Year 7 cohort, and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way. Over the coming months, we’ll also be in touch to request information from you and invite you to events that will help support your child’s transition.
If you have any questions or require additional support, please contact our Admissions Team at admissions@wh5d.com.
We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 cohort in September 2026 and working together to shape a successful and enjoyable start to their secondary education at Walton High.
